Photos waves in France: Let me share with you some of my photos of the waves in France. No, I’m not an amazing surfer. I certainly know my level and limit. However, I really enjoy some good waves up to 2/3 of a meter.

I used to surf waves from Lacanau, and it’s definitely not an easy spot for novice surfers. With a strong current, the shore break can be killer, and the waves literally change each and every day – not like my main spot in the Caribbean where I surf waves from the reef.

The Atlantic coast of France is a world-class surfing location, and the long, sandy beaches of Lacanau’s unspoiled coastline are the ideal playground for anyone who enjoys surfing.

Every year in August, the ASP WQS 6-Star Sooruz Lacanau Pro is organized at “La Centrale”, and this year, Joan Duru won. He was the first Frenchman to take this title in 27 years!

You will find some photos below taken by my sister with my Canon 5D + 70/200 + 1.4x EF Extender II (Teleconverter).
